Barnaby Dixson is Lecturer in Psychology at University of Sunshine Coast's School of Health, specializing in evolutionary anthropology and cross-cultural health research. PhD in Behavioral Ecology from Victoria University of Wellington. Field research spans Pacific Island communities including Vanuatu, Samoa, and Papua New Guinea. Current projects include:
- MaMi Project: Maternal micronutrient impacts in Vanuatu
- Queensland Family Cohort: Paternal mental health outcomes
- Facial expression perception using EEG and eye-tracking
Awards include Queensland Young Tall Poppy of the Year (2016) and postdoctoral fellowships from UQ/UNSW. Teaches research methods, statistics, and intercultural psychology.
