Barbara Wilder

Barbara Wilder, the Wells Fargo Professor and Director of Graduate Programs at Auburn University, joined the faculty in 1985. She teaches Nurse Practitioner (NP) courses in the master's program and Medical-Surgical concepts at the undergraduate level.

Research Interests: Her research program focuses on adult health, particularly hardiness and quality of life in older adults. She also investigates the perceived versus actual roles of nurse practitioners and explores service learning health promotion initiatives, analyzing their impact on nursing students and low-income clients.
