Barbara Weigl is a Lecturer at the Department of Care Management, Protestant University for Applied Sciences Berlin, and a Research Fellow at Evangelische Hochschule Berlin. She specializes in gerontology, long-term care systems, and social welfare policy. Her work focuses on self-determined aging, care arrangements in long-term settings, and intergenerational learning. She has held research roles in EU-funded projects analyzing health systems and elder care across Europe.
