Barbara Wahlen

Barbara Wahlen is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher (MER 1) in the French Section of the Faculty of Letters at the University of Lausanne since 2013. She holds a Doctorate in Letters from Universités de Paris III and Lausanne. Her research focuses on Arthurian literature, medieval text poetics, and literary theory, with particular attention to intertextuality and cultural adaptation across historical periods. Key publications include L'Ecriture à rebours (2010) and studies on medieval narratives like Ysaÿe le Triste. She has co-edited volumes such as Mythes à la cour (2010) and Figures de l'oubli (2007). Her work bridges literary analysis with historical and cultural contexts, emphasizing the evolution of medieval texts into modern interpretations.
