Barbara Tischitz is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Elemental Music & Dance Education – Orff Institute at Mozarteum University. She holds qualifications as a secondary school teacher for music and German, and a special education teacher. Her professional experience includes teaching rhythm, music, movement, and integrative education at PH Graz for 12 years, and roles at private schools and kindergartens in Spain. At the Orff Institute since 2014 (Senior Lecturer since 2019), she focuses on didactic practices with students, parent-child groups, inclusive mixed-age groups, and seniors' groups.
She actively contributes to the MTID (Music and Dance in Inclusion and Diversity) specialist group, the “Inclusion and Diversity” working group, and manages the university course on Music and Dance in Social Work and Integrative Education. Tischitz also provides teacher training in Germany and internationally, and collaborates with vaLeo GmbH in motopedagogy and intergenerative competence development.
