Barbara Schrammel

Prof. Barbara Schrammel is a Professor for Multilingualism and Linguistics at the University College of Teacher Education Styria (PHST). She holds a Magister and doctoral degree, specializing in linguistic fundamentals, German as a second language, and minority languages such as Romani. Her research focuses on teacher training in migration and multilingual contexts, multilingualism policies, and minority language preservation.

She is affiliated with the NCoC Education in the Context of Migration and Multilingualism (BIMM) as Deputy Head of Centre. Her work intersects with language policy and intercultural education, contributing to initiatives like the BIMM-Themenplattform. She teaches courses on multilingualism and linguistics at the university level.
