Barbara Millet

Barbara Millet serves as Associate Professor of Interactive Media at the University of Miami's School of Communication and directs the University of Miami User Experience (UX) Lab. Her academic leadership bridges engineering principles with communication studies to advance user-centered technology solutions.

Dr. Millet earned her PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami in 2009, establishing a foundation for her interdisciplinary approach to human factors and design.

Her research program investigates how design elements impact cognitive processing and behavior through psychophysiological measurement. Key focus areas include:
