Dr. Barbara Manubea Koranteng is a Lecturer in Executive Education at the University of Greenwich's Executive Business Centre, part of the Faculty of Business. She holds a PhD in Finance and Accounting from the University of Greenwich, alongside an MSc in Finance and Investment from the same institution. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Ghana Business School, complemented by Ghana Securities Exchange Certification.
Her research focuses on Fintech's role in capital allocation for marginalized groups, corporate finance dynamics, and financial market inclusion. She applies spatial econometrics to analyze crowdfunding and P2P lending's impact on traditional banking sectors. Teaching responsibilities include International Business Finance, Financial Markets and Institutions, and Quantitative Methods at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Barbara serves as academic tutor for MBA Finance programs and placement supervisor for MBA professional practice modules. She is affiliated with the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network, CFA Society UK, and the Centre for Political Economy, Governance, Finance and Accountability (PEGFA).
