Prof. Barbara Kotte is a Professor in the Visual Communication degree programme at the Universität der Künste Berlin (UDK Berlin), heading the Klasse Kampagnen. Her academic career includes 17 years as a Professor of Advertising Design at HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim. She holds a background in Visual Communication from the Hochschule Düsseldorf and German/Media Studies from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, though her professional career in advertising agencies like Grey, Rempen & Partner, and Scholz & Friends led her to forego completing the latter degree.
