Barbara Kelly is Visiting Professor of Musicology at Keele University's School of Humanities. Her research examines late 19th-20th century French music, exploring intersections of music with war, national identity, and anti-Semitism. She has published extensively on composers including Milhaud, Debussy, and Ravel.
Professor Kelly has supervised postgraduate research on topics ranging from Poulenc's vocal works to French musical societies. She has received prestigious fellowships including at the British Library and Yale's Beinecke Library, and secured major grants from AHRC and EU Marie Curie programs.
