Baolin Wang is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Ottawa's Department of Civil Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering. He holds extensive professional experience with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) as a geomechanics Research Scientist (1992–1998 and since 2003) and roles as a geotechnical engineer/project manager in private firms (1998–2003).
