Balaji Sethuramasamyraja

Dr. Balaji Sethuramasamyraja serves as a Professor in the Department of Industrial Technology at the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, California State University, Fresno, where he has contributed to academic programs through teaching, research, and outreach since 2006.

His educational credentials include:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras
• M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati
• Ph.D. in Biological Systems and Agricultural Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

His research centers on geospatial technology, specializing in sensor development, instrumentation and control systems, and applications of GPS, GIS, remote sensing, information systems, and robotics. This work integrates engineering principles with agricultural sciences to advance precision agriculture methodologies and address complex technological challenges in resource management.

Dr. Seth holds leadership roles as Coordinator for the Precision Agriculture Technology minor and Program Director for the Agricultural Systems Management option. He actively mentors students and participates in professional societies including the Association of Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineers, California Geographic Information Systems, and the Association for Technology, Management and Applied Engineering.
