Babacar Mbengue is a Lecturer at DePaul University, affiliated with the Department of History, the Islamic World Studies program, and the Religious Studies Department. His research spans Islamic law, finance, and transnational diasporas, with a focus on Muslim Africa and Francophone regions.

Languages and Teaching: Dr. Mbengue teaches courses on the history of the Muslim world, Islamic finance, and Islam in the United States, with graduate and undergraduate offerings. He is fluent in French, Arabic, Wolof, and has working knowledge of Spanish and Pulaar.
