BELAOUNIA Samia

Samia Belaounia is an Associate Professor at Neoma Business School since 2001, holding a PhD in Management from Paris-Dauphine University. Her expertise lies in financial analysis, corporate finance, and international management. She specializes in the interplay between corporate internationalization and capital structure, institutional contingencies, and gender representation on corporate boards.

Her research focuses on how institutional environments influence corporate financial strategies and how female board representation impacts firm value. She has authored a financial analysis textbook (2017) and published in journals like International Business Review and Finance Contrôle Stratégie.

Recent work explores director foreign experience’s geographic impact, regulatory quality’s effect on leverage, and gender equality’s role in board efficacy. She has contributed to executive education programs for both non-specialists and financial managers.

Her academic activities include conference presentations at EURAM, SMS, and AIMS, alongside case studies deposited at The Case Centre. She has been a frequent speaker on topics such as globalization’s economic implications and board diversity’s strategic value.
