Béla Merkely

Béla Merkely is a Hungarian cardiologist and academic leader currently serving as Rector of Semmelweis University (since 2018) and previously as Chairman of the Sports Medicine Department (since 2019) and Director of the Heart and Vascular Centre (since 2007). He is a Professor of Medicine at Semmelweis University and a Professor at Pázmány Péter Catholic University.
