About
Aymeric Vie is a Professor at CentraleSupélec, part of Paris-Saclay University. He co-heads the research pillar of the Alliance for Climate Action Now (AllCAN) and the Energy Efficiency track at CentraleSupélec. His work focuses on turbulent spray flows, two-phase combustion, and high-fidelity numerical simulations. He is affiliated with the EM2C Laboratory (CNRS UPR 288) and the Mathematics Federation at CentraleSupélec.
- Education: HDR in Mathematical modeling (2022, Université Paris-Saclay); Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics (2010, IFPEN); Master in Fluid Mechanics (2007, Université Paul Sabatier).
His research spans Large Eddy Simulation, Eulerian and Lagrangian methods, multi-component vaporization, and asymptotic-preserving numerical techniques. He has supervised numerous PhD students in projects related to combustion instabilities, disperse phase flows, and cryogenic propulsion. Prior roles include Assistant Professor at CentraleSupélec (2014-2023) and postdoctoral positions at Stanford University and EM2C-CNRS.
