Aylin SENDEMIR

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aylin SENDEMIR is an Associate Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at Ege University's Faculty of Engineering. Her research focuses on biomaterials, tissue engineering, and biomechanics with particular emphasis on bone, neural, and skin tissue engineering. She has contributed to the development of bio-inspired scaffolds, 3D culture systems, and smart biomaterials for regenerative medicine applications.

Her work includes interdisciplinary projects on drug delivery systems, nanotechnology-based therapies, and in vitro disease modeling for Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and cancer stem cells. Collaborative efforts span materials science, biomedical engineering, and clinical translation.

Publications highlight advancements in bacterial cellulose composites, graphene neurotoxicity studies, and bioreactor systems for tissue regeneration. Research aligns with sustainable development goals through eco-friendly biomaterials and biodesign innovations.
