Ayhan Ince

Dr. Ayhan Ince is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering at Concordia University. His expertise spans computational damage modeling, fracture mechanics of materials, short crack growth behavior, and machine learning-based approaches in engineering.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Waterloo (2007–2012)
• M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Waterloo (2004–2006)

Research Interests: Dr. Ince’s work focuses on advanced computational methods for predicting material behavior under cyclic and multiaxial loading conditions. His research integrates peridynamics, finite element analysis, and artificial neural networks to study fatigue crack propagation, residual stress computation in additive manufacturing, and durability assessment of metallic alloys.
