Aydan Suphi

Aydan Suphi is a Senior Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy at Birmingham City University's School of Health Sciences. With over 20 years of clinical experience in the NHS, she transitioned to higher education in 2012. Her expertise spans language disorders in children/young people, complex needs (including Down syndrome), and culturally diverse populations.

• PhD candidate studying families' access to preschool Speech and Language Therapy services
• Collaborates with PGCE Primary and Early Years course colleagues on inter-professional learning
• Co-coordinates the international IP Light program and serves on the HELS Faculty Ethics Committee

Aydan advocates for equity in access to healthcare and education, combining clinical practice insights with academic leadership to improve service delivery and pedagogical approaches.
