Prof. Axel Schneider is a Professor at the Department of East Asian Studies at Georg-August-University Göttingen, directing both the department and the Centre for Modern East Asian Studies. His research focuses on Chinese intellectual history, historiography, and modern conservatism. He holds a multidisciplinary background in Sinology, political science, and history from Erlangen, Bochum, and Taipei, with postdoctoral research at Harvard, Cheng-Chi University, and Beijing University.
