Professor Axel Rosenhahn serves in the Department of Analytical Chemistry at Ruhr University Bochum's Faculty of Chemistry and Biochemistry. His research group develops environmentally friendly antifouling and biomedical coatings through investigations of microorganism and cell interactions with polymeric materials.
His research focuses on surface colonization dynamics using advanced techniques including microfluidic assays, 3D tracking, and X-ray nanoanalysis. Key areas include bio-interfacial phenomena, environmentally sustainable coating technologies, and biomaterial characterization.
