Axel Kleidon

Dr. PD Axel Kleidon is an Independent Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Jena, Germany, where he has led the Biospheric Theory and Modeling (BTM) group since 2006. His research applies thermodynamics to understand energy transformations in the Earth system, focusing on atmosphere-biosphere interactions, global change responses, and renewable energy limits.
