Avit Kumar Bhowmik is an Assistant Professor at Karlstad University's Department of Risk and Environmental Studies Research, specializing in climate solutions and sustainability transformation. He holds a Ph.D. in Spatial Environmental Health from the University of Koblenz-Landau, Germany, and has conducted interdisciplinary research spanning Environmental Health, Planning, and Geoinformatics. His work focuses on rapid climate action, positive social tipping points, and integrating science into policy frameworks for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
