Prof. Avishai Wool is a faculty member at Tel Aviv University, serving as Head of the Systems Department in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Deputy-Director of the Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center. He received his B.Sc. (1989), M.Sc. (1992), and Ph.D. (1997) in Mathematics/Computer Science from Tel Aviv University and the Weizmann Institute. His career includes co-founding cybersecurity companies AlgoSec and Lumeta Corp.
Research Interests: His work focuses on computer security, network security, SCADA systems, side-channel cryptanalysis, and firewall technology. Recent publications explore GPU overclocking faults, vehicular radar spoofing, power grid protocol diversity, and password strength estimation.
