Aurelie Garant

Aurelie Garant, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, serving as Director of the Brachytherapy Program. She earned her medical degree from Université Laval, completed residency at McGill University Health Centre, and a fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Her research focuses on adaptive radiation therapy, brachytherapy innovations, and organ preservation techniques for cancers like prostate, renal, and rectal malignancies. She leads clinical trials for novel technologies like RefleXion PET-linac platforms and has pioneered 3D-printed brachytherapy applicators. Garant has received awards including the NIH SPORE Career Award and Texas Super Doctors Rising Star recognition. She contributes to editorial boards, including Frontiers in Oncology, and actively engages in medical education through AI-enhanced residency programs.
