Audun Formo Hay

Audun Formo Hay, a PhD fellow at Oslo School of Architecture and Design and Bærum Municipality, specializes in participatory service design for dignified public systems. His work bridges child welfare and systems-oriented design, focusing on power dynamics, emotional labor, and co-creation with marginalized families.

Research Interests:

• Relational and emotional dimensions in service design
• Power structure analysis in welfare systems
• Transformative approaches for vulnerable populations
• Ethical and dignified service innovation

Teaching & Mentorship: Conducts continuing education for psychologists and psychiatrists at the University of Oslo, emphasizing systemic practices. Mentors professionals in applying systemic thinking to welfare contexts.

Future Work: Starting autumn 2025, he will join the Re:Structure project to investigate early childhood service design strategies preventing youth exclusion.
