Audrey Becker is a Lecturer in the First-Year Seminar program and Drama Major Advisor at the Residential College, University of Michigan. She holds a B.A. in English from Barnard College and an M.A./Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Michigan. Previously, she served as an Associate Professor of English and Modern Languages at Marygrove College and taught at Bowling Green State University.

Her research focuses on medieval and early modern literature, the history of the English language, and book history. Current projects explore mid-20th-century American medievalism and adaptations of pre-modern texts. She co-edited Welsh Mythology and Folklore in Popular Culture (2011) and investigates intersections between Renaissance poetry and modern music through her project Fear. Kiss. Love. Disdain: Modern Music/Renaissance Poets.
Since 2018, she has coordinated the Michigan Humanities Collaboratory. Beyond academia, she is a former professional singer-songwriter, winning the Tucson Folk Festival and participating in the Telluride Troubadour Competition.
