Attila Forgács is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Eötvös Loránd University, with prior roles including director of the Institute of Behavioral Science and Communication Theory at Corvinus University of Budapest. He holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Pécs (2005) and a clinical psychology degree from Haynal Imre University of Health Sciences (1993).
His research focuses on gastropsychology—an interdisciplinary field bridging eating disorders and food marketing—and explores why humans consume beyond physiological needs. Key interests include social psychology, media impacts on eating behaviors, and consumer psychology. He pioneered paternal childbirth support and psycho-oncology in Hungary and conducted WHO-funded communication training for midwives.
