Atikur Rahman

Dr. Atikur Rahman is a postdoctoral researcher at IMDEA Nanociencia since August 2024, specializing in bio-engineered nanophotonics. Previously, he served as a Research Associate at the Energy and Environment Unit (EEU) of the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST) in India from 2022 to 2023.

• Education: Completed doctoral studies (2017–2022) at INST, focusing on plasmon-molecule interactions using organoboron compounds.
• Current Research: Developing artificial photoenzymes for asymmetric photocatalysis by embedding photoredox dyes in protein pockets.
• Technical Expertise: Utilizes advanced spectroscopic tools to validate photochemical properties of biohybrids.

His work bridges biomedicine, photobiology, and synthetic drug precursor development. Supported by the MSCA-IDEAL program (Grant ID: 101034431), he aims to strengthen his independence as a researcher.
