Athena Chow

Athena Chow is a Researcher at the Magdalen College of University of Oxford. Her research is part of the Moving Beyond Inequality programme, funded by the Leverhulme Trust, focusing on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and their neurobiological impacts.

Her work explores the interplay between threat and deprivation dimensions of ACEs, analyzing how these factors influence emotion regulation and executive function in children, thereby affecting psychopathology risk. She is supervised by Professor Lucy Bowes and Professor Jane Barlow.
