Athanasios Vostanis

Dr. Athanasios (Thanos) Vostanis is a Lecturer in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at the University of Kent's School of Social Sciences. His research focuses on Precision Teaching methodologies, particularly in non-academic skills, learning principles, and their integration with evidence-based educational strategies. He holds a PhD from the Tizard Centre and certifications in Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA-D). Thanos is actively involved in advancing Precision Teaching through roles like Vice President of International Relations for the Standard Celeration Society.

Education includes a bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology from the University of Athens, a Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a PhD in Precision Teaching. He is a certified teacher (QTS) and has specialized training in CABAS® and Morningside Models of Instruction.

His research spans Precision Teaching applications in autism, cognitive neuroscience, and multi-tiered education systems. He has presented at conferences such as the International Conference of the Standard Celeration Society and the International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
