Athanasios Orphanides serves as Professor of the Practice of Global Economics and Management at MIT Sloan School of Management and has been a Senior Fellow at the Center for Financial Studies (CFS) since June 2012. Previously, he was Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus (2007-2012), where he oversaw the euro introduction and served on the European Central Bank's Governing Council and the European Systemic Risk Board's Steering Committee.
