Athanasios H. Rakitzis is an Associate Professor at the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science of the University of Piraeus. He has held academic positions at multiple institutions including the University of the Aegean and the University of Cyprus, and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Nantes, France, as a Marie Curie Fellow.
His educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1998-2002), a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Statistics from the University of Piraeus (2002-2004), and a PhD in Statistics from the University of Piraeus (2004-2008) with a thesis on "Statistical Quality Control and Theory of Flows and Formations".
