Asta Baumöller

Asta Baumöller is a part-time Lecturer at the Peter Behrens School of Arts of Hochschule Düsseldorf / University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf. She teaches Schrift (Typography) and Projekt 1/2 while maintaining an active career in design consultancy.

Education & Professional Background:
Asta Baumöller studied Design & Visual Communication in New York, Stuttgart and Düsseldorf. Since 1989 she has built extensive industry experience in design, leadership and people & culture topics, working for RTL Television and VIVA Television (as Creative Director and later Managing Director of VIVA Italy and the Swiss subsidiary). In 2007 she founded MELT.MEDIA BERLIN, a consultancy specializing in people & culture, and is also a certified Digital Transformation Manager collaborating with the Berlin agency think moto.

Research & Teaching Focus:
Her teaching and professional activities revolve around design strategy, visual communication, digital transformation processes, organisational culture, and leadership in creative industries. She integrates real-world industry insights into her courses, emphasising typography, project development and innovation management.
