Ashwath Acharya is an active academic at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, currently serving as an Additional Professor in the Department of Hand Surgery at Kasturba Medical College. His career spans over two decades, including roles as Assistant Professor (2003-2005, 2007-2011) and Associate Professor (2011-2022) in Orthopedics at the same institution. He holds an MS in Orthopedics from Kolkata Medical College (2000-2003) and a Fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery from Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore (2005-2007).
A globally recognized expert in Hand Surgery, his research spans Hand Trauma, Peripheral Nerve Injuries, Brachial Plexus Injuries, Tendon Injuries, and Congenital Hand Disorders.
