Ashley Schram is Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Australian Research Centre for Health Equity (ARCHE) at ANU. Her work examines how policy and governance structures drive social and health inequities, focusing on financialization, trade agreements, and food systems.
She developed the MAPPS framework to analyze privilege in policy systems and studies commercial determinants of health. Recent articles critique financialization’s health impacts and minimalist lifestyles' ecological benefits.
Projects include 'Safeguarding Health in International Investment Agreements' and agri-foodtech governance. She advises governments on trade-nutrition policy coherence.
