Ashley Provost is an Assistant Professor at Northern Michigan University's Social Work program. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from NMU, a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Loyola University Chicago, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute for Clinical Social Work in Chicago. Her research focuses on Native American women's birthing experiences and the intersectionality of colonization.

She serves on the Pathways executive board of directors for community mental health initiatives.
