Ashley Gasten is an Associate Professor in Education & Technology at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Education. Her work focuses on the intersection of technology, learning, and identity in both formal and informal educational settings. She has extensive experience in K-12 education systems in B.C., Alberta, and the U.K., and currently teaches courses on digital learning, inquiry-based learning, and ICT practices.

Professional Activities: She consults on online course design for multiple UBC faculties and has contributed to research projects on technology-enhanced learning. Her dissertation addresses literacies needed for success in MOOCs.
