Ashley Edwards

Ashley Edwards is a Research Faculty I at the Florida Center for Reading Research at Florida State University. Her research focuses on dyslexia, reading development, and reading fluency, with particular emphasis on advanced statistical methods for educational research.

• MS in Developmental Psychology (2019)
• BA in Psychology (2017)

All from Florida State University.

Research Interests: Investigates core aspects of reading acquisition, including orthographic representations, set-for-variability, and co-development metrics. Her methodological interests span ANOVA, regression, HLM, IRT, and growth modeling. Projects include Project FLEX, Variable Vowel Collaborative, and computational tools for reading research.

Advising & Grants: Active in mentoring undergraduate and graduate researchers across multiple labs, including the Compton-Steacy Lab and Schatschneider Lab. Utilizes interdisciplinary approaches combining psychology and computational methods.
