Ashley Barr is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Carlow University’s College of Arts & Sciences. With a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) from the University of Southern California and dual master’s degrees in Social Work (MSW) and Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Pittsburgh, she bridges clinical expertise with organizational leadership. Prior to joining Carlow, Barr taught at the University of Pittsburgh (6 years) and California University of PA (2 years). Her clinical background spans 12 years as a Trauma and Emergency Department social worker at Mercy Hospital and UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, alongside specialized work in child and adolescent mental health.
