Ashleigh Hamilton is a Visiting Professor at Queen's University Belfast, affiliated with the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences and the Centre for Public Health. Her research focuses on early-onset cancers, molecular epidemiology, and cancer survival, with particular attention to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. She has contributed to systematic reviews and qualitative studies analyzing patient experiences and molecular profiles of early-onset cancers.
Dr. Hamilton holds the HSC R&D Doctoral Research Fellow title (2019-2022) and received the Prize for the best oral presentation in 2021. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing health equity and global well-being.
She actively collaborates with the Northern Ireland Cancer Research Consumer Forum and the All-Ireland Cancer Network (All CaN). Her research spans epidemiological approaches, including population-based registers and cohort studies, and she has published widely in peer-reviewed journals.
