Arvinder S Loomba

Dr. Arvinder S. Loomba is a Professor in the School of Global Innovation & Leadership at the Lucas College of Business, San José State University. He specializes in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and Project Management, with a focus on global contexts and sustainability. His academic career includes roles as a Lucas Research Fellow, NIH Sabbatical Fellow, and Fulbright Specialist (2014–2019). Dr. Loomba holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Southern California (1993), MBA from California State University East Bay (1988), and a Bachelor of Engineering from Bangalore University (1984).

His research explores sustainable supply chains, global outsourcing, healthcare infrastructure, and humanitarian logistics. Notable contributions include studies on pharmacovigilance in emerging economies, repurposing medical devices for low-resource countries, and transformative services for human trafficking survivors. He has advised multinational corporations in the U.S., China, India, and Japan, emphasizing project management and supply chain innovation.
