Arvazena Clardy

Dr. Arvazena E. Clardy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Sciences and Engineering at Tennessee State University's College of Agriculture. She serves as the 4-SET and NRCS Outreach Coordinator. Her research focuses on small farm outreach initiatives, alternative vegetable production, niche fruits, and phytoremediation using aquatic plants. Clardy teaches Introduction to Plant Science and leads statewide extension programs in horticulture.

Her extension work includes research on ornamental grasses, phytoremediation applications for agricultural pollutants, and youth development in science and technology. Educational background includes a PhD in Soil and Plant Science from Alabama A&M University and graduate coursework in education at Tennessee State University.
