Arun Sherma

Arun Sherma, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He is affiliated with the Division of Neurotrauma and Neurocritical Care, focusing on critical care neurology and translational research.

• Education: BA in Psychology/Neuroscience from Northwestern University (2002), MD from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (2006), residency at Tulane University (2011–2016), and fellowship at University of Pennsylvania (2016–2018).

His research interests span critical care management of subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, multimodality monitoring, health disparities, and systems improvement in neurocritical care. Publications highlight trends in cerebrovascular diseases, neurointerventional techniques, and clinical trials for neuroprotection.
