Professor Arnold Myers is a Senior Research Fellow at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Professor Emeritus of the University of Edinburgh. He also serves as President of the Galpin Society. His work focuses on the intersection of musical acoustics and the history of brass instruments, with a doctorate from the University of Edinburgh developing acoustically-based taxonomic classification techniques for brass instruments.
Education: PhD from the University of Edinburgh (dissertation on brass instrument taxonomy).
