Arno Müller

Professor Arno Müller is affiliated with the University of Erfurt's Faculty of Education, where he serves as Head of the Department of Kinesiology and Spokesperson for the Department of Sports and Exercise Sciences. His research spans interdisciplinary areas including sports science, kinesiology, sports psychology, and dance education.

Research Interests: Müller's work focuses on existential-phenomenological approaches to movement in dance, sustainable endurance sports philosophy, anti-discrimination frameworks in sports, and the future of school gymnastics in Syria. His leadership extends to shaping pedagogical foundations in physical education.

Supervision: He has supervised notable dissertations on topics such as phenomenological understanding of dance, existential talent development in football, and social prejudice in club sports. Current supervisees include M. W. Atika Sahyouni (2024), who explores Syria-specific school gymnastics challenges.
