Armita Tschitsaz is a Postdoc researcher at the University of Bern's Faculty of Medicine, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She received her PhD in psychotherapy process research from the University of Bern in 2008.

Her research focuses on eating disorders and mental stress disorders, particularly examining bio-physiological and psychological responses to weight anxiety in adolescents with anorexia nervosa. She also investigates symptom trajectories during inpatient treatment and their impact on therapy effectiveness.
Recent work includes analyzing stress biomarkers in burnout treatment and studying nonlinear therapy progression patterns through sudden gains/losses in anxiety and depressive disorders. She leads two active research projects on eating disorder development and influences.
