Arisa EMA is an Associate Professor at the University of Tokyo and Visiting Researcher at RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project. She also serves as Research Support Advisor at AIST Department of Information Technology and Human Factors. Her research focuses on Science and Technology Studies (STS), particularly investigating the societal benefits and risks of AI through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Member of the Cabinet Office's Council for Social Principles of Human-Centric AI (2019 principles).
Coordinates the Air Liquide Fellowship and contributes to the FFJ Theme 3 project 'Capitalisms, Technologies, Society and Health,' exploring health-tech intersections. Involved in the CTSH project analyzing Eurasian healthcare innovation contexts.
