Ariel Strichartz

Ariel Strichartz is Professor of Spanish in the Department of Romance Languages at St. Olaf College, teaching intermediate to advanced Spanish courses (231–399), the Latin American Studies capstone with FLAC components, and interim courses in Ecuador. She emphasizes authentic Spanish-language texts and student-driven classroom dynamics.

Her research centers on:

• Contemporary Argentine theatre
• Theatrical responses to dictatorship
• Armenian collective memory in Argentina

Professor Strichartz maintains active office hours (M/W 11–12, T 3–4) and prioritizes observing student-led activities. She is affiliated with Gender and Sexuality Studies, Latin American Studies, and Romance Languages programs.
