Ariel Kasler

Ariel Kasler is an Associate Teaching Professor in Jazz Guitar and Jazz Piano at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), part of the College of Musical Arts. He holds a Master of Music in Jazz Performance from BGSU, a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music, and an Alexander Technique Teaching Certificate from the Toronto School of the Alexander Technique.

• Roles: Artistic Director of the Orchard Guitar Festival; Director of BGSU Summer Music Institute Jazz Camp since 2022; pianist for Toledo Jazz Orchestra
• Performances: Releases include Make It Bloom (2022) and Above the Sound (2015); collaborates with saxophonist Bobbi Thompson on contemporary music

Teaching includes courses such as Jazz Arranging, Jazz History, Guitar Pedagogy, and Alexander Technique for Musicians. He has taught over 20 courses at BGSU since 2015.

Labs/Teams: Coordinates the Jazz Faculty ensemble and oversees the Guitar and Jazz ensembles at BGSU.
